Joseph Shafer

- Senior Associate Attorney

Joseph Shafer is a senior associate attorney with extensive experience in litigation and trial practice. His work focuses on defending clients across a wide range of matters, including personal injury protection (PIP), bodily injury, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, first-party property claims, general liability, and nursing home abuse and neglect.

Joseph is skilled in all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial preparation. He regularly drafts pleadings, motions, and discovery, including motions for summary judgment, and works closely with clients to evaluate liability and develop effective case strategies. He has significant experience reviewing medical records and expert reports, as well as representing clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and arbitrations.

Prior to his current role, Joseph managed a high-volume litigation caseload and developed strong advocacy skills through frequent courtroom appearances. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant State Attorney, where he handled a large docket of cases from inception through trial, gaining substantial trial experience in both jury and non-jury proceedings.

Joseph earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and his bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida.
