Christopher Gibbons - Associate Attorney
Biography
Christopher M. Gibbons, Esq. is an experienced litigator focusing on complex general liability and Labor Law matters. He represents clients in a wide range of cases involving construction accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and insurance coverage disputes.
Mr. Gibbons has extensive experience handling matters from pre-suit investigation through trial preparation and resolution. His practice includes developing defense strategies, conducting and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and participating in mediations and arbitrations. He also regularly advises insurers on coverage issues, prepares position letters, and litigates declaratory judgment actions involving additional insured claims, priority of coverage, and general liability exclusions.
In his prior roles, Mr. Gibbons oversaw all phases of litigation and managed high-exposure cases on behalf of insurers. He has also monitored primary defense counsel in complex matters and played a key role in trial strategy and witness preparation, including serving as second chair in a federal bench trial that resulted in a favorable outcome for the defense. In addition to his litigation practice, he has supervised junior attorneys and staff, managed client relationships, and administered a firm’s summer associate program.
Mr. Gibbons has broad courtroom and litigation experience throughout New York, including practice in all five boroughs of New York City as well as Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties. He has briefed and argued appeals in both the First and Second Departments and regularly handles alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
