Tshomba LaMont Mayers joins the firm as Senior Counsel. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Jackson State University. Mr. Mayers attended law school at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where he received American Jurisprudence Awards in Property and Trial Simulation before graduating with honors. Tshomba clerked for Presiding Justice Fred L. Banks and Associate Justice James E. Graves at the Mississippi Supreme Court. At the end of his clerkship, He entered private practice, representing individuals, insurance companies, employers, corporations and government entities in various matters in state and federal courts.
Mr. Mayers is a member of the Dallas Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the Smith County, Mississippi branch of the NAACP, the Dallas Bar Association, the J. L. Turner Legal Association, M.W. Stringer Grand Lodge, F.&A.M., P.H.A., West Jackson Lodge No. 697, Jackson State University Alumni Association and the Mississippi Bar Association. In 2013, the Memphis Tri State Defender named Mr. Mayers as one its 50 Men of Excellence. Tshomba is licensed to practice law in Texas, Tennessee and Mississippi.
