Martha Melaku has spent over a decade in the legal field and has worked high volumes of civil litigation, insurance defense, personal injury, and automobile and commercial trucking files. She has also spent many years as a researcher and advisor regarding oil and gas regulations, mineral ownership cases, and has negotiated commercial/residential real estate acquisitions. Martha was recognized by the National Diversity Council as one of Dallas’ Top 50 Women Lawyers and is part of the Dallas Bar Association Class of 2020 WE LEAD. She also serves the community as a board member for the City of Garland Property Standards Board and was the Business Development Editor of the American Indian Law Review at the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
