Jay E. Mintzer was born in the Bronx, New York. He attended the State University of New York at Binghamton. Mr. Mintzer graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Environmental Studies in 1978. He received his Law Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1981.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Mintzer began practicing in the Insurance Defense field. In November of 1984, he became a founding partner of what was to become Mintzer Sarowitz Zeris and Willis. While helping to build the firm, Mr. Mintzer attended Temple University School of Law in the evening. He was awarded an L.L.M. in Taxation in May of 1996.
Mr. Mintzer has been the Managing Partner of the firm since its inception. He has overseen its expansion from the original office in Philadelphia to include offices in New Jersey, New York, Florida, Delaware, West Virginia and Texas.
Mr. Mintzer is also an active trial attorney with extensive experience in the defense of a broad range of matters including Medical Malpractice, Construction Litigation, Common Carrier Litigation, Municipal Liability and Liquor Liability.
