Ira Thomas has more than forty years of experience in the legal profession, specializing in premises liability, property damage claims, New York labor law, general insurance defense, and automotive claims, among others. Whether by settlement, mediation, arbitration or trial, Ira is experienced in handling and supervising the litigation process of cases from inception through trial including post-trial appellate practice. Whether through negotiation or taking a case all the way through trial, Ira believes in zealously and successfully representing his clients while upholding to the highest moral and ethical standards of practicing law in a courteous manner with his adversaries. Mr. Thomas has tried cases and conducted hundreds of depositions in the state and federal courts of New York and Tennessee for more than 40 years. Additionally, he has appellate experience in both states.
Ira received his B.A. from Yeshiva University and his joint degree of Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from New York University. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of New York, as well as the U. S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Western District of Tennessee, as well as the Second and Sixth Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
