Mr. Backenson is a Partner in the firm’s New Jersey Office. His practice is dedicated to the defense of workers’ compensation claims. In addition to litigating claims, he provides a full spectrum of legal, consulting and risk management services to both insured and self-insured clients of the firm and third party administrators. He works closely with our employment practice lawyers for the purpose of addressing broader employment issues which are usually interconnected with workers’ compensation claims.Mr. Backenson began his legal career as a law clerk with the Honorable Samuel L. Supnick, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey – Camden. He joined the firm in 2002 and was named a partner in 2012.
Mr. Backenson played golf while in college and worked as an a golf instructor in South Jersey while attending law school. He resides in New Jersey and spends his free time golfing, motorcycling and taking part in various charitable endeavors to raise funds for medical research.
